How we deliver

Progressive assurance: A smarter route to handover

Browne’s Progressive Assurance model accelerates handovers by embedding quality and compliance checks throughout delivery. Securing approvals at key milestones minimises last-minute issues and ensures readiness. Aligned with our Right First Time philosophy, this proactive approach reduces defects, avoids delays, and builds quality into every stage. Digital tools like SiteEye Gen 2 provide real-time oversight, streamlining audits, documentation, and closeouts—while continuous learning sharpens our processes for lasting improvement.

"Innovation is central to how we deliver infrastructure. Across major London projects, we use real-time data, predictive analytics, and automation to boost efficiency, reduce risk, and stay on track. In the past year, this approach has improved delivery times by up to 20% and cut handover delays to under 30 days, enabling smarter decisions, less disruption, and more resilient infrastructure."

Tempest - Predictive AI for Wastewater Maintenance

Over the coming years, Browne will continue to lead in digital transformation and AI integration. Our focus includes rolling out fully standardised digital field applications across multiple business units, enhancing our ability to track, manage, and optimise workflows. We are also expanding our AI capabilities, leveraging predictive modelling to support infrastructure planning, demand forecasting, and asset management.

In-Use Example:

In partnership with Southern Water and CBUL, we developed Tempest—an AI-powered tool that predicts maintenance demand in wastewater networks. By analysing rainfall, job volumes, and sewer levels, it enables teams to act ahead of extreme weather. During the most severe storm season in eight years, Tempest achieved 91% compliance, reducing disruptions and boosting resilience. Next, it will explore uses in clean water forecasting and infrastructure modelling.
